Basic Operating Procedures
1. Pre-Operation Preparation: Check that the vehicle’s brakes, lights, electrical system, and hydraulic system are functioning properly. Confirm that the shredder, hydraulic motor, and feeding mechanism are free of damage and jamming. Ensure the hopper is empty and clear any debris from the feed inlet and shredding chamber. Operators must wear safety equipment such as helmets, earplugs, and masks. Park the vehicle on level ground, engage the parking brake, and turn on the warning lights.
2. Starting Operation: Activate the shredding mode from the cab, start the hydraulic motor and shredder, and adjust the shredding particle size. Feed material slowly into the feed inlet using the automatic roller feed or the grabber, avoiding overloading the shredding chamber to prevent blockages.
3. Monitoring During Operation: Monitor the shredding results in real time and adjust the feed rate and shredding parameters based on the material’s hardness and size; observe the equipment’s operating status; if unusual noises, vibrations, or excessively high hydraulic oil temperature occur, stop the machine immediately for inspection; be mindful of pedestrians, non-motorized vehicles, and obstacles; strictly prohibit unauthorized personnel from approaching the work area.
4. End of Operation: Stop feeding material. Wait until the material in the crushing chamber has been completely crushed and discharged into the hopper, then shut down the crusher and hydraulic motor; drive the vehicle to the designated location, activate the tipping discharge mechanism, and discharge the crushed material into the designated area; close the discharge mechanism once unloading is complete.
5. Routine Maintenance: Clean residual material from the feed inlet, crushing chamber, and hopper; inspect the wear condition of the blades and replace worn blades promptly; regularly check the levels of hydraulic oil and lubricating oil, top up as needed, and clear debris from the lines; inspect the equipment’s protective devices to ensure they are intact and undamaged; perform anti-corrosion and dust-proofing treatments on the vehicle.
Safety and Maintenance Guidelines
Control vehicle speed during operation; avoid sudden braking and sharp turns. Place warning signs in the work area to alert passing vehicles and pedestrians to yield. Do not operate in crowded areas. During crushing operations, no personnel are allowed in the vicinity to prevent injury from flying material. Never feed hard objects such as stones, metal, flammable or explosive materials, or corrosive substances into the feed opening to avoid damaging the crushing blades, motor, and piping; if a blockage occurs during crushing, immediately shut down the machine and disconnect the power supply; clear the blockage before resuming operation; never force the machine to start; If the temperature of the hydraulic oil in the reservoir becomes excessively high, immediately stop the machine and drain the oil to allow it to cool; regularly inspect the shredding blades, hydraulic motor, and feed mechanism for wear and seal integrity, and repair or replace them promptly; operators must be familiar with the equipment operating procedures, participate in relevant training regularly, and must not operate the equipment in violation of regulations; when the equipment is not in use for an extended period, remove any residual material from the machine, apply anti-corrosion and dust-proof treatments, and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area to prevent rusting.
